I'm An advance Diploma student at Srishti school of art, design and technology, currently pursuing Design in Education. I'm from Ahmedabad, but have been in Bangalore for a year now. My definition of art begins with dance and extends in theatre, poetry, craft and recently photography. My inclination towards Alternative means of learning and parallel views on the concept of education brought me to Srishti and now to Atom, to explore art as a tool for learning. This project for me is a space that allows me to engage in design thinking, art education, social
entrepreneurship and integrated learning at various levels. I'm happy I'm 'atom-ic' :)

I am a direct entry student studying Visual Communication at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology this year. I studied law in Pune before applying to Srishti. Design was always my area of interest and I finally chose to pursue this as a career. I enjoy painting, sketching, illustrations, pottery and trying my hand at other forms of art. I also love traveling to new places and interacting with people from different cultures. Using design as a means of social impact is an area I am keen to explore and the ATOM project has provided me with a great foundation for the same.
Meera Parikh
I am a third year student at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology. I'm from Bombay where I have been born and brought up. Coming to Bangalore to study has been a great experience for me so far and I have loved every minute of it. My areas of interest are art, graphics, history, psychology and sports. I love going outdoors and playing Badminton. I also really love children and this ATOM project has been very exciting for me because I really like helping children. I've always had fun with my art through out my childhood and still do enjoy it and feel that every child should have the same opportunities and be given the chance to experience the joy of art.
Rathi Varma
Im Rathi from Bombay, a 3rd year direct entry at Srishti's . I have done 4 years of fine arts from Bombay and its been a month having moved to a new city and a different school interacting with people from different states, with different likes and dislikes . I would like to specialize in the area of visual communication. I further intend to experiment with children's book illustration. In a span of a month I got the chance to explore down south, Villupuram and its folks , thanks to ATOM. Having taken up this project has given me an opportunity to look into the insights of art education in the rural areas, their methodologies, thinking and approach.the idea of designing an instructional tool kit has pushed me further to develop communication skills bearing in mind the aspects of the rural area. looking forward to bringing change.
Ashwini Sashidhar
Hi I’m Ashwini Sashidhar. I’m a 22 year old with a childlike imagination. I’m from Bangalore and have lived here all my life. I’m currently a student of product and interface design at Srishti School of Art and Design. Somewhere along my journey through school and college I have discovered my area of interest lies with children and toys and I eventually wish to specialize in the area of toy design, especially educational toys for children and parents. I am equally passionate about textile and craft design and I want to be able to combine my enjoyment of working with children and all these varied interests and create something meaningful through the ATOM project.

Sangeetha Iyengar
Originally from Hyderabad (aka The Land of Biryani), I have been a student at Srishti School of Art Design & Technology, Bangalore for the past 3 years, currently majoring in Textile Design.
I am a musician, artist, writer and performer. Designer? In a private sense, we design our everyday lives based on our personal requirements. In a broader society-serving view, I’d like to say I’m learning to be one.
Recently, I have been exposed to the realm of info-graphics and design in education, and am interested in exploring them further. I have worked on product and systems design projects with NGOs in the past, but this experience has been a whole new level of energy because we are working with art and children. I look forward to designing a system that contributes to remodeling this NGO into a self-reliant social enterprise.

Alagu Chockalingam
I am a student of the Visual Communication Design Program at Srishti, Bangalore. I love a great many things, and love doing new things. Teaching art to children has always been something I wanted to do. With ATOM there is the further challenge of creating a toolkit that will allow teachers in rural areas of India, with no prior experience or background in art to take the experience of art to children. Packing art in a box is an experience i'm looking forward to.
